About Whangarei traders & Auctions...

We are located at 14 Vine Street in central Whangarei.

Whangarei Auctions started out in 2016 as an auction house. Our first auction was the iconic Revas Restaurant in the Town Basin. We also run a retail shop in between auctions where we sell a huge range of new furniture.

The company is owned by husband and wife team Paula and Darryl. Paula is the past CEO of King Toyota in Lower Hutt and Kirk Motors Mitsubishi, Wellington. She is a past president of the Lower Hutt Chamber of Commerce and a fellow of the MTA Guild. Before forming Whangarei Auctions, Paula ran the operations side of Thomson Bagley Auctions in Whangarei.

Darryl was the youngest Serving Police Officer in the NZ Police for a number of years. He left the Police in the late 80's to get into Real Estate. Darryl had a successful career in Real Estate until he sold his business in 2008. Before forming Whangarei Auctions, Darryl was an auctioneer at Thomson Bagley Auctions in Whangarei. He has auctioned at charity auctions, liquidations, general auctions, farm auctions, business auctions, insurance and antique auctions.
