May 2023 we were contracted again to run a huge appliance auction for an insurance company at our Vine Street auction house. this auction was no reserve and was well attended.

INSURANCE APPLIANCE AUCTION JUNE 2022
The first in a series of five auctions to dispose of a huge 1 million dollar water damage insurance claim from seven Auckland big b0x stores. Lots of new televisions, fridges, freezers, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, dryers, small appliances, top range shoes and boots, kayaks, clothing, general merchandise, tents, camping gear, bike helmets, computers and much more sold under the hammer all for no reserve. A massive crowd attended and there was a lot of bidding on the items on offer.
INSURANCE BED SHOP AUCTION
April 2021 after a break due to Covid19 we ran an auction for a big insurance claim from a Northland bed shop. There were lots of new beds and bases. Retail was from a few hundred dollars right up to over $18,000. The auction included bedroom furniture, padded headboards, pillows, rugs, cushions, IMG Scandinavian chairs with stools, art, lamps, dining furniture, casual chairs, lots and lots of top branded merchandise. We combined the bed shop insurance items with a truck load of bespoke Italian from a Super yacht and over 200 new boxed products from a third supplier. It was all be sold at no reserve!

on sunday 7 october 2018 whangarei auctions put the contents of the icon restaurant "Down the road eatery and deli" under the hammer.
on sunday 23 september, whangarei auctions held a charity auction at the whangarei hospice shop on behalf of north haven hospice. over 250 PEOPLE registered TO BID and all lots were hotly contested providing a healthy deposit into the hospice bank account.
On Sunday 19th August, whangarei auctions held a collectables auction at the old waipu fire station.
HUGE no reserve INSURANCE appliance auction, held IN july 2018, At our 14 vine street premises. 320 registered bidders at this auction and over 400 people attended.
On 1 July 2018, Whangarei Auctions held a "no reserve" auction on a shipment of new, used and warranty tvs, smart tvs, hi fi systems, computers, small appliances, ipads, printers, cameras, drones, coffee machines, vacuum cleaners, microwaves, electric fryers, heaters, electric razors, steamers, toasters, blenders, kettles, Vodafone, Brother, Sony, HP, Acer, Breville, Panasonic, Russell Hobbs, Canon, Sharp, electrolux, Sunbeam, Phillips....pallets of new stock all from a national appliance and electronics retailer.
The items were all written off by the insurer after a water damage event.
On Sunday 11th March 2018, Whangarei Auctions put the contents of Chipmunks Whangarei under the hammer. sunday 8th april we were at manukau chipmunks in auckland auctioning the manukau chipmunks.

Normans Motors Vintage Car and Parts Auction
Successful auction held Sunday 30th July. Vintage cars, buses, parts and tool collection from Normans Motors, Whangarei.
over 300m2 of vintage cars and buses including a Diamond T Bus, 1934 Chrysler Airflow, heaps of vintage car and bus parts and accessories (some still in the original packaging), tools and motoring memorabilia.
The collection spanned some four generations from this iconic Whangarei family.

Going under the hammer were wall clocks, grandmother clocks, mantel clocks, novelty clocks, watches including Rolex, pocket watches, watchmakers tools, art, jewellery including gold diamond rings, coins and banknotes, silver, gold coins, vintage tin toys, vintage toys, silverware, porcelain, collectables, vintage tins, vintage tools, oil company cans, bottles, telephones, cast ironware, antique furniture, boxes, retro, military items, deco, vintage Fun Ho, Meccano, badges, pocket knives, vintage radio, rare antiques, antique bottles, clocks, tools, antique furniture, art, cast iron pots, dinner sets, silverware, Kauri and rimu furniture, mangle, mirrors, lamps, stamps, cutlery, Clarice Cliff, Wade, Royal Doulton, Sylvac, Carltonware, Stuart Crystal, depression glass, model boats, AA badges, kauri gum, antique rugs and mats, furs, brass ware, antique framed local photos and much more. Over 500 quality lots.
This was a seated auction with items shown on a television screen and bidders needed to be in early for a good seat.
On Sunday April 17 2016, Whangarei Auctions held an onsite auction at Reva's, On The Waterfront, Restaurant and Bar, 31 Quayside, Town Basin, Whangarei.
We put the entire contents of this iconic Whangarei establishment under the hammer.
Included in the auction was the entire kitchen contents including stainless benches, pizza oven, dishwasher, chillers, ovens, pots, pans, utensils, crockery plus the bars, tables, seating, signage, outdoor sun umbrellas and huge cantilever umbrella, office and contents, ornate hanging lights, art, Yvonne rust original oil paintings, David Cunis original oil paintings, collection of Buster Bartlett model yachts and launches, collectables and memorabilia and much much more.
